JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTORS OFFICE Internship 1988-1989

Worked in the drug unit his third year of law school. At that time a third-year law student could practice law under the supervision of attorneys. He appeared in court for arraignments; preliminary hearings; appeals and helped in trial work.

ASSISTANT MUNICIPAL PROSECUTOR KANSAS CITY 1989-1991

Mike worked in all eight court rooms and tried numerous cases from domestic violence; to assault and traffic violations.

INDEPENDENCE MUNICIPAL JUDGE 1994-1997

Mike presided over numerous cases for misdemeanors, traffic matters, as well as domestic violence and serious assault cases.

PRIVATE PRACTICE 1997- Present

Mike practices criminal, traffic, injury, and estate planning law.
